HGI originally started out as Louisiana Utilities and Construction (LUC) in 1992 under the direction and ownership of Leon Frost, a West Monroe native and family associate of Richard Richardson Sr. After six years in business, Leon retired and Richard Richardson Sr bought the company and changed the name to Highway Graphics LLC. Under his tenure from 1998 till 2004, HGI grew and expanded its operations from district 5 in north Louisiana to district 4 in Shreveport and district 8 in Alexandria. In 1994, HGI was purchased by Robert Richardson and Richard Richardson Jr and continued the expansion and growth into prime striping operations and new sub markets in the district 3 and 7 areas. HGI continues its success and growth with the opening of our Baton Rouge office in May of 2012, Broussard office in 2022, and Little Rock office in 2023, to service the south. Our organization has a rich history of qualified, highly motivated stripers that have been instrumental in the growth and success of our company.
